Car Fire on Rt 202
Wed. Feb 12th 2014

Around 7 am on Wednesday February 12th, 2014, Station 3 was dispatched to Southbound Rt 202 at Cedar Hollow Rd for a pickup truck.  Chief 3 went enroute and was advised by the Chester County Communications Center that the pick up truck was well involved.  Engine 3-5 made the response.  Due to construction on Rt 202 and traffic stopped due to the truck fire, Engine 3-5 and Chief were able to proceed northbound in the southbound lands to extinguish the truck. Engine 3-5 arrived on location and used a 1.75" water/foam line to extinguish the fire.  Crew's operated for about 45 mins.
