1400 Sugartown Rd
Thu. Feb 6th 2014

Around 20:00 Paoli Fire Company was alerted for a Chimney fire located in the 1400 of Sugartown Road.  While members were Enroute, Easttown Township Police Department were on scene and reported heavy smoke and fire showing.  Chief 3 arrived on location confirmed the report, and requested additional unit's and the working fire dispatch.  Newtown Square Fire Company ( Delaware County), and Berwyn Fire Company were added on the working fire assignment.  Chief 3 also requested Malvern Fire Company and East Whiteland Fire Company for their Pumper/Tankers.  Crew's arrived on location and found heavy fire conditions in the attic.  Additional man power arrived and assisted helping extinquish the fire, and protect personal property in the house.  Crew's remained on scene for several more hour's checking for any further fire spread or hazards.  

The Paoli Fire Company would like to thank the Goodwill Fire Company of West Chester for providing protection to the rest of our service area, while company's operated on this incident.
